Does it matter which lime plaster I choose?
Ancient Romans mastered the art of adjusting the properties of lime to their intended purpose. They knew that 10% or more of the right aggregates can significantly alter how lime plasters perform.
One great example is the interior of this Roman Bath. See the pinkish circles on the ceiling? This brick-lime mix could absorb significant amount of steam and moisture from the air, due to the pore characteristics of the types of brick they used.
We are humbled to inform you about a whole vista of knowledge which has been brought to your doorstep, straight from the Master Masons of World Heritage sites – Pompeii and Venice

An Award-winning Project in pictures
The Cob House is a 300-year-old Grade 2 listed converted block of stables, originally serving as the stable block to Steanbridge House in Slad, nestled in the picturesque Cotswolds.
This project was approached as a conservation endeavour, with the client’s primary focus being the preservation of the building’s character while bringing it up to contemporary standards fit for the 21st century.

You don’t meet people with such a work ethic, very often. They knew their product and what it was all about. We were amazed how polite they were, they didn’t hurry, they were very professional at what they did.

I was very worried about the rising damp situation, so I contacted Core Conservation through The Listed Property Owners’ Club and I have been very-very impressed. Mike is really nice, I think he is totally professional, I like him immensely. Yes, I would totally recommend it to anybody, who has a building with damp problems.
