RasoThermo Aerogel

RasoThermo Heres A fibre-reinforced, highly insulating lime plaster providing exceptional thermal performance in a thin, breathable layer.

A fibre-reinforced, super insulator aerogel lime plaster providing exceptional thermal performance in a thin layer.

RasoThermo Aerogel is breathable, durable, delivers noticeable energy savings while offering enhanced resistance to fungi and mould.

Improved insulation and thermal performance for all types of masonry for internal or external use

The RasoThermo Aerogel two-part lime plaster system is engineered to improve energy efficiency in both heritage and modern buildings by enhancing the insulation and thermal behaviour of plastered walls, pillars, and openings around doors and windows.

Suitable for interior and exterior use on residential and commercial structures, including ceilings, balconies, overhangs, and concrete elements.
A 5–10 mm application on the four faces of beams and pillars can effectively reduce thermal bridging and eliminate condensation.

System composition

Coat 1 — Thermal lime base coat:
Applied at variable thickness (depending on the desired U-value), this base coat features a 1–1.2 mm granulation, providing strong adhesion and high thermal insulation.

Coat 2 — Lime thermal finishing coat:
A fine-grain finishing layer (0.5–0.7 mm) with excellent heat-reflective properties, reducing heat loss and improving internal comfort levels.

Ideal for historic and listed buildings

Thanks to its high-performance, low-thickness insulation, RasoThermo Heres is especially suited to the restoration of historic or listed structures.
It enhances thermal performance while preserving the building’s original character and maximising internal space.

Application guidelines

Surface preparation:
Ensure the substrate is clean and evenly dampened before application. Remove any loose, friable, or contaminated material by brushing. The masonry must be free from dust, salts, and oils. Where possible, wash the surface with a pressure washer to clean and pre-wet in one step. Repair large voids using lime mortar and brick pieces.

Mixing:
Mix with clean tap water only, without any additives, until a homogeneous, creamy consistency is achieved.

Important:
Always mix from dry to wet. Begin with a small amount of water, add the powder, and gradually increase water until the desired consistency is reached. Avoid starting with excess water — over-wetting weakens the plaster and alters its hydraulic set, resulting in reduced performance and shorter lifespan.
